Thomas Kessinger
GUITAR, BASS, UKULELE, SONGWRITING, AUDIO ENGINEERING/PRODUCTION
Thomas Kessinger is a working musician and songwriter based in Salt Lake City. Thomas's love of music started early in elementary school where he sang in his school choir and played the upright bass in Orchestra. At 12 years old he picked up his first bass guitar. After one year he combined his love of singing with fretboards and began writing songs. Since then Thomas continued to write and play music as a solo artist and in various groups throughout. Thomas knows the power that learning an instrument provides both as a tool for introspection as much as it is for communication and catharsis.
Thomas is a student of the American songbook, whether its old Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan tunes, classic Rock and Soul studio recordings of the 60s and 70s, or contemporary composers like Tyler Childers and Jeff Tweedy.
If it has strings Thomas will play it! And if you're humming a tune, well then let's write a song! Thomas teaches guitar, bass, and ukelele as well as songwriting, audio engineering, and production.
